Description of the work:<\/p>\n
In Blue Clementine, I reinterpret an iconic scene from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, where Clementine tries to snap Joel out of his daydreaming. I am interested in exploring how certain gestures, images, and situations are stored in our memory and can reappear years later. The blue contrasts with the intensity of the scene and turns that moment into a reflection on memory, desire, intimacy, and recollection. With this figurative painting, I explore how a small trigger can activate emotions and memories we thought were forgotten.<\/p>\n
