Crimson

Description of the work:

In Crimson, I explore the contrast between the appearance we show and what is really happening inside us.
I am interested in that instant when makeup, gesture, and a feigned smile manage to temporarily conceal a deeper emotion. Intense tones turn the face into a mask where beauty and unease can coexist.
With this figurative painting, I reflect on the emotions we learn to disguise while trying to pretend that everything is fine.
